Six years, none the stranger

Flash back six years ago. A newly-formed friendship between four friends has brought them together to a dank messed-up room to study some of the arcane engineering subjects, esp. like Mathematics. All of them are from different places and no one knows where they will be next. Crunching the numbers and trying to cope up with terms like partial differential expressions and jacobians, their friendship blossoms. They have a lot of fun together, eventually calling themselves as the GM group. Teasing and bantering each other and having a fun time in general, just as any other under grad. Discovering the new place Pune, principles like FTG are invented. (Follow The Girl principle: when you get lost in an unknown city, follow the prettiest girl you can see. Miraculously she will lead you to a known street or corner. If not, you haven’t lost much! ;) )

One year thence, all four are following their own path, each fighting a different battle, in a different way, drifting apart with only memories remaining.

Cut back to today. Bharat is in California, Mukesh is in Chicago and Sanmeet is in Rhode Island (last heard). I am of course, in New York. It’s a small world after all, to find all four of my six-year-old room-mates here in USA.

Special thanks to: Yahoo messenger, Orkut, Yahoo mail for keeping us in touch and bringing us digitally together.
